An Evening with Susan Kay Wyatt

Author Susan Kay Wyatt will be at Reed Memorial Library on Monday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss her latest book No Crown Required, a collection of intimate stories and self-realizations about her experience in the Miss America pageant.
While the Miss America pageant is steeped in controversies regarding the #MeToo Movement and swimsuit competition, Wyatt believes the pageant perpetuates unrealistic expectations of perfection and beauty in today's society. Through her stories and wisdom, Wyatt hopes to inspire women of all ages to step into their best bold selves.
Wyatt was born in Ravenna, Ohio and won the Miss Ohio pageant in 1987. Today, she is a mother and mentors her daughter to be a confident, courageous, and compassionate woman.
Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing.
