Multi-Age Program

Life Size Candyland

Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers are invited to Reed Memorial Library to play our life-size game of Candyland.
The game will be available on December 21 and 23 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. and December 21 and 22 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Families are invited to join us and play as many times as they would like.
No registration is required.

Holiday Make & Take

Families are invited to Reed Memorial Library on Saturday, December 1 from 10:00-4:00 p.m. for a holiday make and take craft event.
Drop in any time during the event to enjoy crafts and activities for the entire family.
No registration is required.


Settlers of Catan Tournament

Saturday, November 4
9:30am - 4:30pm

Celebrate International Games Day with open gaming and a Settlers of Catan tournament. Bring friends and join us for table top, role playing, and card games. Feel free to bring your own favorite games to share or play with others. Registration is required for the tournament.

Walking Tour of Maple Grove Cemetery

Saturday, September 29

Reed Memorial Library, in partnership with the Portage County Historical Society and Museum, will host a walking tour through Maple Grove Cemetery. Tour the cemetery grounds and learn about some early and notable burials. Brian Rhinehart from PCHS and Reference Librarian Kevin Gray will lead this tour. This tour is weather dependent. Please dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes. Registration is required and space is limited.



Memorial Dedication Service

Reed Memorial Library will be hosting a memorial dedication service on Friday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m. Please join us in the parking lot island while we dedicate the memorial for Louise Starling. Louise was a dedicated member of our Children’s Department and helped children and families from 1994 until 2017.



Throwback Thursday Party

Join Reed Memorial Library as we launch our new cataloging and circulation system!  To celebrate, the Library will host a Launch Party on Thursday, August 31 from 2-6 p.m. Participants will enjoy light fare, desserts, activities, and music for the entire family.

This special Throwback Thursday party will travel all the way back to the early 2000's when the current software was installed.  Relive memories of Reed Memorial Library, the city of Ravenna, and the lives of our staff members during the turn of the century.
