Evening with Eileen Petridis

Local author Eileen Petridis will be at Reed Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss her new memoir, Forgiven Faults: Mending the chains of love in an imperfect family.

In this memoir, Eileen shares details behind her grief, guilt, and acceptance in the unexpected death of her father. As an only child, Eileen held the sole responsibility for handling all of the finances, as well as the care of her mother who is unwilling and unable to care for herself.

Pokémon Club

Reed Memorial Library will be launching a new Pokémon Club for youth 4-14 years old that will meet on the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
This club is open to Pokémon card collectors interested in battling their decks against other opponents and trading cards with other fans.

Saturday Walking Tour

Reed Memorial Library in partnership with Main Street Ravenna, will present a walking tour about Ravenna during The Civil War on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 pm.
Enjoy a walk downtown while learning about the stories and history behind Ravenna and its people during the American Civil War. Tour will be led by Librarian, Kevin Gray, and assisted by Doug Fuller.
Tours are weather dependent. Please dress accordingly and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Celebrate Chemistry!

Carol Shriner from Hiram College will be at Reed Memorial Library on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 pm for hands-on chemistry fun.
Families with children in grades K-5 are invited to celebrate Chemistry Month and get their hands dirty with fun and interactive chemistry projects.
Registration is required for this event.

Gaming Club

On the second and fourth Monday of every month
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This club is open to anyone interested in playing tabletop, roleplaying, or collectible card games.
No registration is required for this event.
