Build & Create!

Saturday, February 24
9am-4pm

Families compete in in building and creating challenges in this all-day event. Participants can challenge themselves and others using the supplied materials and their imagination. Materials will vary each month and may include straws, blocks, paper, foam, looms, and more. No registration required.

 

Teen Anime Club

Saturday, February 24
2-4pm

Watch and discuss anime with others who enjoy Japanese animation and culture. Ages 13 and up. Anime may be rated PG or PG-13. No registration required. Anime Club meets one Saturday every month from 2-4p.m. If we have a large group we'll have pizza!

Writers' Group

The Writers' Group plans to meet every fourth Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

This group is an opportunity to share your writing and receive feedback. No registration required.

 

Winter Reading

Feb. 5-Mar. 5

Chill out & read a book during our winter reading program.
Adults and Teens receive a ticket for every book, graphic novel, or e-book checked out. Just ask for a ticket at the front desk. Fill out the ticket, turn it in, and you are entered into weekly prize drawings and a Grand Prize drawing. There will be separate prizes for teens and adults, and will include gift cards, books, and surprises!

The Teen Grand Prize is a $50 Target Gift Card!

Children and Families interested in participating are asked to stop by the Children’s Desk and pick up their reading log. Return the completed log for a chance to win an Amazon Fire 7 with Alexa or other great prizes.

 

Marvel Monsters Contest for Teens

Feb. 5-Mar. 5

During Winter Reading, Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to test their knowledge of the Marvel Universe. Participants pick up a Marvel Monsters Unleashed quiz in the Teen Room where they have to name the Marvel Monsters. Completed entries may be returned to the Help Desk for a chance to win a Marvel Universe coffee table collector’s book worth $50.
