Humans have lived in this area for over 12,000 years. In 2008, Anthropologist Robert Kunst began constructing a hypothetical Prehistoric Indian Village in the Portage County Historical Society's woods. In the last 14 years, he has constructed three huge wigwams, each different in construction and appearance.
