Come join us at the former Ravenna High School site to watch the total solar eclipse.
Experience the total solar eclipse with us at our watch party! We’ll gather downtown at the site of the former RHS building; the wide grassy lot near Dairy Queen. The watch party starts at 2pm and the eclipse will reach its peak at 3:15pm.
Join us for the viewing party! Once this eclipse is over, the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous United States will be on Aug. 23, 2044. We encourage those who are able to, to please walk to this event, as parking nearby and in town may be difficult.
Safety is the number-one priority when viewing a total solar eclipse. The library will provide specialized solar eclipse viewing glasses (to keep) for up to 350 people during this event. The week prior, you can drop in the library anytime we're open and make your own free solar eclipse viewer with provided supplies. You can also make your own eclipse viewer at home using these instructions.
Solar eclipse viewing glasses provided for 350 people, while supplies last.
