Friends of the Library

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is sponsored by The Friends of Reed Memorial Library. The program provides one book each month for children in Ravenna (44266 zip code) from birth until the child's fifth birthday. There is no charge to the family.

Application forms are available at the circulation desk or in the children's section of the library. Submit the application form at the circulation desk, or mail it to the Friends at P.O. Box 774, Ravenna, OH 44266. It takes four to six weeks for the books to reach your mailbox at home.

"A good public library is the lifeblood of any community. It insures that all people, from all walks of life, have access to the information and ideas they need to learn and grow, to solve problems and to dream."   James Michener

What is Friends of the Library?

The Friends of the Library is a group of local residents and business members of the community who value public library service and believe that their library is one of the key elements that make their community a great place to live. They volunteer their time and talent to promote the use of the library and to raise funds which are used to enhance library services.
